Karin Albou
Karin Albou (born 1968) is a French director and screenwriter of Algerian Jewish descent, one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary French cinema. Trained at La Fémis, she has built her career around features that explore the experience of Jewish and Muslim women in North Africa and France, with particular attention to ritual, sexuality, and intergenerational memory. Her acclaimed films include La Petite Jérusalem and The Wedding Song.
