Kantemir Balagov

Kantemir Balagov (born 1991) is a Russian director and screenwriter from Kabardino-Balkaria. Trained at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University under Aleksandr Sokurov, he became one of the most internationally celebrated younger Russian filmmakers. His acclaimed films include Closeness and Beanpole.
