Juan Antonio Bardem

Juan Antonio Bardem (1922–2002) was a Spanish director, screenwriter, and Communist Party activist, one of the central figures of postwar Spanish cinema during the Franco dictatorship. He is the uncle of the actor Javier Bardem. His acclaimed films include Death of a Cyclist, Calle Mayor (The Lovemaker), and Nunca pasa nada.
