Joseph Losey
Joseph Losey (1909–1984) was an American director who was blacklisted in the 1950s and reinvented his career in Britain, where he became one of the most distinctive figures in postwar British cinema. His celebrated collaborations with the playwright Harold Pinter on three features in the 1960s and 70s remain among the highlights of British cinema. His acclaimed films include The Boy with Green Hair, The Servant, King and Country, Accident, The Go-Between (which won the Palme d'Or at Cannes), Mr. Klein, and Don Giovanni.
