Jean-Paul Rappeneau
Jean-Paul Rappeneau (born 1932) is a French director and screenwriter, one of the most accomplished French directors of literary historical adaptation. Trained as an assistant to several French New Wave directors, he turned to direction with the lively comedy A Matter of Resistance. His acclaimed films include A Matter of Resistance, Le Sauvage, All Fired Up, Cyrano de Bergerac, The Horseman on the Roof, Bon Voyage, and Belles Familles.
