Jean-François Richet
Jean-François Richet (born 1966) is a French director and screenwriter, one of the most internationally recognized French directors of action and crime cinema. Born in the Parisian suburbs, his early features drew on the marginalized lives of the French banlieue before he moved into larger international productions, including a two-part biopic of the French criminal Jacques Mesrine and a Hollywood remake of Assault on Precinct 13. His acclaimed films include État des Lieux, Ma 6-T Va Crack-er, Assault on Precinct 13, Mesrine: Killer Instinct, Mesrine: Public Enemy No. 1, Blood Father, and The Emperor of Paris.
