Jean Eustache
Jean Eustache (1938–1981) was a French director and screenwriter regarded as one of the most distinctive voices of post-New-Wave French cinema. His best-known feature The Mother and the Whore — a three-and-a-half-hour talking marathon set in post-1968 Paris — has been hugely influential despite his small body of work. His acclaimed films include Bad Company, The Mother and the Whore, My Little Loves, and A Dirty Story.
