Jan Sverák
Jan Svěrák (born 1965) is a Czech director and producer, one of the most internationally celebrated figures of post-communist Czech cinema. He often collaborates with his father, the screenwriter and actor Zdeněk Svěrák. His feature Kolya won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. His acclaimed films include The Elementary School, Accumulator 1, Kolya, Dark Blue World, Empties, and Three Brothers.
