Ján Kadár, Elmar Klos

Ján Kadár (1918–1979) and Elmar Klos (1910–1993) were a Slovak-Czech directing partnership, central figures of pre-Velvet Revolution Czechoslovak cinema. Their feature The Shop on Main Street won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Their acclaimed films include Three Wishes, The Defendant, The Shop on Main Street, and Adrift.
