Imanol Uribe

Imanol Uribe (born 1950) is a Spanish director and screenwriter of Basque descent, one of the most prominent figures of post-Franco Spanish cinema. His features have frequently engaged with the political conflicts of the Basque Country. His acclaimed films include The Burgos Trial, El Proceso de Burgos, La Muerte de Mikel, Días Contados, Bwana, El Rey Pasmado, and Lejos del Mar.
