Humberto Solas
Humberto Solás (1941–2008) was a Cuban director and screenwriter, one of the most internationally celebrated figures of post-revolution Cuban cinema. His feature Lucía, a triptych of stories about Cuban women across different historical periods, is widely regarded as one of the major works of Latin American cinema. His acclaimed films include Manuela, Lucía, Cantata de Chile, Cecilia, A Successful Man, and Honey for Oshun.
