Henrik Galeen

Henrik Galeen (1881–1949) was a Galician-Jewish actor, screenwriter, and director who worked in early German Expressionist cinema. He co-wrote screenplays including the original The Student of Prague and Nosferatu, and directed several features. His acclaimed films as director include The Golem (co-directed with Paul Wegener), Waxworks (as screenwriter), The Student of Prague (1926), and Alraune.
