Haskell Wexler
Haskell Wexler (1922–2015) was an American cinematographer and director, one of the most influential cinematographers of postwar American cinema. He won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography twice — for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Bound for Glory — and worked across major American features for directors including Mike Nichols, Hal Ashby, and George Lucas. As a director he produced one of the most celebrated features of the New Hollywood, the part-fiction part-documentary Medium Cool. His acclaimed films as director include Medium Cool.
