Harold Ramis
Harold Ramis (1944–2014) was an American director, screenwriter, and actor, one of the most influential figures in American comedy from the late 1970s through the early 2000s. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and a former joke editor at Playboy, he came up through the Second City improv company and the National Lampoon Radio Hour before turning to screenwriting and direction. His features defined a generation of American comedy. His acclaimed films include Caddyshack, National Lampoon's Vacation, Club Paradise, Groundhog Day, Multiplicity, Analyze This, and Bedazzled.
