Hans-Christian Schmid
Hans-Christian Schmid (born 1965) is a German director and screenwriter, one of the most accomplished German filmmakers of his generation. Trained at the University of Television and Film Munich, he has produced a body of work that engages with personal and political memory in post-reunification Germany. His acclaimed films include 23, Crazy, Distant Lights, Requiem, Storm, Home for the Weekend, and We Are Then.
