Gregory Nava

Gregory Nava (born 1949) is an American director and screenwriter, one of the most prominent figures of Chicano cinema in the United States. Trained at UCLA, he made his name with the Spanish-language El Norte, an epic of Guatemalan immigration to the United States. His acclaimed films include El Norte, A Time of Destiny, My Family, Selena, and Bordertown.
