Francisco Vargas

Francisco Vargas (born 1965) is a Mexican director and screenwriter. Trained at the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos in Mexico City, he established his reputation with the feature The Violin, a stark black-and-white drama about peasant rebellion in rural Mexico. His acclaimed films include The Violin and Tesoros.
