Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck
Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (born 1973) is a German director and screenwriter. Trained at the University of Television and Film Munich, he established his international reputation with his feature debut The Lives of Others, a drama about the East German Stasi's surveillance of an artistic couple. The film won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. His acclaimed films include The Lives of Others, The Tourist, and Never Look Away.
