Férid Boughedir
Férid Boughedir (born 1944) is a Tunisian director, screenwriter, and critic, one of the most prominent figures in the history of Tunisian and broader Maghrebi cinema. Trained at the Sorbonne, he worked as a critic before turning to filmmaking with celebrated documentaries about pan-African cinema and then to feature direction. His acclaimed films include Camera Arabe, Camera Africa, Halfaouine: Boy of the Terraces, and A Summer in La Goulette.
