Fanta Regina Nacro

Fanta Régina Nacro (born 1962) is a Burkinabé director and screenwriter, one of the most internationally celebrated women in West African cinema. Trained in film direction in Ouagadougou and in Paris, she has worked in both short and feature filmmaking, with a particular interest in the lives of African women. Her acclaimed films include Puk Nini, Bintou, and Night of Truth.
