Evelyn Cherry

Evelyn Cherry (1906–1992) was a Canadian documentarian, one of the pioneering women filmmakers at the National Film Board of Canada. She worked under John Grierson's direction at the NFB during the Second World War, producing documentaries about Canadian rural and wartime life. Her acclaimed films include New Horizons, Of Japanese Descent, and a long body of NFB educational and documentary work.
