Emilio Gómez Muriel, Fred Zinnemann

Emilio Gómez Muriel (1910–1985) was a Mexican director and Fred Zinnemann (1907–1997) was an Austrian-American director who would later become a major figure in classical Hollywood. The two co-directed the influential 1934 Mexican feature Redes (Nets / The Wave), about the lives of poor fishermen in Veracruz. Zinnemann went on to a celebrated career in Hollywood including High Noon, From Here to Eternity, A Man for All Seasons, and other classics.
