Edmund Goulding

Edmund Goulding (1891–1959) was a British-American director and screenwriter who worked at the major Hollywood studios across more than three decades. He specialized in elegant melodrama and lavish star vehicles, often built around female protagonists at MGM and Warner Bros. His acclaimed films include Grand Hotel, Dark Victory, The Razor's Edge, Nightmare Alley, and We Are Not Alone.
