Edgar Morin, Jean Rouch
Edgar Morin (born 1921) is a French philosopher, sociologist, and intellectual, and Jean Rouch (1917–2004) was a French filmmaker and ethnographer. Their collaboration on the 1961 feature Chronicle of a Summer is a landmark of the cinéma vérité movement, in which they interviewed Parisians about whether they were happy and reflected on the act of filmmaking itself. Their acclaimed joint film is Chronicle of a Summer.
