David Volach

David Volach (born 1970) is an Israeli director who left the strict Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) Jewish community he was raised in before turning to filmmaking. His debut feature drew on that background to widely acclaimed effect. His acclaimed films include My Father, My Lord.
