Darren Aronofsky
Darren Aronofsky (born 1969) is an American director, producer, and screenwriter. Trained at Harvard and the American Film Institute, he made his feature debut with the cult mathematical-thriller Pi, shot in black-and-white on a tiny budget, and has since developed a body of work characterized by formal intensity, physical extremity, and intricate psychological design. His acclaimed films include Pi, Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, The Wrestler, Black Swan, Noah, Mother!, and The Whale.
