Damjan Kozole
Damjan Kozole (born 1964) is a Slovenian director and screenwriter, one of the most internationally recognized figures in contemporary Slovenian cinema. Largely self-taught, he turned to filmmaking in the late 1980s and produced features that engage with the social transformations of post-socialist Slovenia — economic dislocation, post-war Balkan migration, and the new geographies of Schengen-era Europe. His acclaimed films include Spare Parts, Slovenian Girl, Project: Cancer, Nightlife, and Half-Sister.
