Claude Lelouch
Claude Lelouch (born 1937) is a French director, producer, and cinematographer, one of the most commercially successful figures of postwar French cinema. He shot his first feature at twenty-two and broke through internationally a few years later with A Man and a Woman, which won the Palme d'Or at Cannes and the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. His subsequent prolific career has alternated between popular romances and ambitious historical features. His acclaimed films include A Man and a Woman, Live for Life, Happy New Year, And Now My Love, Les Misérables, A Man and a Woman: 20 Years Later, and The Best Years of a Life.
