Clara Law
Clara Law (born 1957) is a Hong Kong–Australian director and screenwriter, one of the most distinctive figures of the so-called second wave of the Hong Kong New Wave. Trained at the National Film and Television School in Britain, she returned to Hong Kong to direct features before emigrating to Australia in the mid-1990s. Her work has engaged with diaspora, migration, and the textures of Chinese cultural memory across the Pacific. Her acclaimed films include Reincarnation of Golden Lotus, Autumn Moon, Floating Life, The Goddess of 1967, Like a Dream, and The Family Man.
