Bob Rafelson, Dennis Hopper
Bob Rafelson (1933–2022) was an American director, producer, and co-founder of the influential BBS Productions, and Dennis Hopper (1936–2010) was an American actor, director, and photographer. The two were closely associated with the rise of New Hollywood in the late 1960s. Rafelson directed Hopper in The Last Movie's BBS-era cousin Easy Rider as producer, and the two collaborated in various capacities across the New Hollywood years. Rafelson's acclaimed films as director include Head, Five Easy Pieces, The King of Marvin Gardens, and The Postman Always Rings Twice; Hopper's directorial credits include Easy Rider, The Last Movie, Out of the Blue, and Colors.
