Andy Warhol, Paul Morrissey
Andy Warhol (1928–1987) was an American visual artist, filmmaker, and central figure of the Pop Art movement. Paul Morrissey (1938–2024) was an American director who became Warhol's principal cinematic collaborator. The two worked together extensively at Warhol's Factory in 1960s and early 1970s New York, producing a series of features that combined Warhol's interest in duration and the photographic image with Morrissey's narrative shaping. Their joint acclaimed features include Flesh, Trash, Heat, Lonesome Cowboys, Women in Revolt, and Flesh for Frankenstein.
