Anastasia Lapsui, Markku Lehmuskallio
Anastasia Lapsui (born 1944) is a Nenets writer, journalist, and director, and Markku Lehmuskallio (born 1938) is a Finnish director. The two have collaborated since the 1990s on feature and documentary films about the Nenets people of Siberia and the broader indigenous cultures of the Arctic, often shot in Nenets and Sami languages. Their acclaimed films include Seven Songs from the Tundra, The Bridegroom from the Underworld, Pudana – Last of the Line, and Kuolopään Lapset.
